About Trade Exchange Canada

Trade Exchange Canada has always had a goal of helping small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) through seasonal or cyclical economic downturns by introducing them to a new customer base, conserving cash, interest free financing, utilization of excess inventory and many other ways. Trade exchanges and barter flourish in slow economic times. We are poised and ready to take on new business and we are setting up the fundamentals to ensure that those new businesses that join our group are treated professionally.

Desmond Regier

Desmond Regier is a Certified Management Accountant, holds a mortgage broker license, business owner and entrepreneur. Desmond moved to the Okanagan with his family in 1995 after 12 years and numerous stops in the radio industry. The radio industry showed Des what you can do with unused inventory. When he moved to the Okanagan to help small business owners get the most from their efforts he incorporated use of trade (barter) into his business. Since then he has been helping small business with cash conservation, inventory management marketing and what ever else those all too busy small business owners need.

In Des's off time he has spent time as a hockey coach, president of WDMHA, husband of of 26 years, father of four and an avid runner. He enjoys renovating real estate, reading and motivating others.

Brent Planz

Brent has been with Trade Exchange Canada since 2004 and takes satisfaction from brokering trade. He is a firm believer that trade is a valuable and under rated marketing tool that all businesses should implement.

Other work experience includes 11 years of sales and management with a large Western Canadian computer retailer as well as technology sales.

Brent has been a long time resident of Kelowna, BC and when not working enjoys camping with his girlfriend and his dog Teton.

David Melse

David will be mainly covering the West Kelowna through to Penticton strip. With a background in Business development and small business ownership he understands the value of bartering / trade to accelerate an organisations under utilized and other wise wasted time and or inventory.

His familiarity with trade, formal business education and enthusiasm will serve as a valuable part of your business advisory team.

David resides in Peachland with his common law partner Kristy and their Siberian husky Mika. His interests outside of the office include squash, wakeboarding, snow skiing, contemporary architecture and travelling.
